The argument against prepaid care plans

Prepaid Care Plans:

Some of our new patients have shared that their previous chiropractors asked them to pay for care upfront, sometimes offering a discount if the whole plan was paid for in advance. These plans often cost thousands of dollars!  We do not often need to have an opinion on every subject; but hearing about this continues to raise concerns for patients and frankly the chiropractic profession.

At Lakeshore Chiropractic, we will never ask you to pay for a prepaid care plan. We believe your treatment should be based on how your body responds, not a set plan that’s decided before we even begin. Many of our patients, thankfully, progress faster than might have been expected. When that happens, we help them move toward independence from care. Other patients may need more time or care for tougher conditions, and we adjust their plan accordingly.

We continually monitor and work closely with you to create a personalized care plan, and we make decisions together about the next steps. Chiropractors who sell prepaid care plans often follow a “cookie-cutter” approach, which isn’t always in the best interest of the patient. We focus on your outcome, not our bottom line. What we promise is that every case is managed as a partnership between the patient and the treating chiropractor, with decisions on care being made together and never for longer than needed.
